Whereas Radar only allowed LiveUpdates of the Repertory program, the RadarOpus LiveUpdate offers many more possibilities to keep you up to date, such as:

Different versions of RadarOpus came with new, free books. If a package in RadarOpus is of the same level as the Radar/EH package, there are more books in the corresponding RadarOpus package. Some examples:

New remedies information

Synthesis 2009 TE in Radar describes 2.375 remedies out of 4.497 remedies, listed in Radar's remedy catalog.
RadarOpus comes with information on new remedies, present in the new repertories (Sherr, Degroote, etc.) and in the new References (such as new provings). New remedies are only added to RadarOpus.
Consequently, the remedy catalog of RadarOpus has been updated to list 6.717 remedies. These figures indicate unique remedies and do not include synonyms.

New modules

New modules are only added to RadarOpus.
The first one is the Polar Symptom Analysis, automatically adding polar symptoms to an analysis in Bönninghausen's Therapeutic Pocket Book.

Integration with hand held devices

The Synthesis App (available on SmartPhone, iPhone, Tablet or iPad) can mail a repertory analysis to RadarOpus (version 1.40 or later), where this analysis can be edited and/or saved in your regular Patient file.
Available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Native Mac and PC

RadarOpus has been developed with cross-platform tools. This means that no emulation is needed to run RadarOpus on a Mac, as the code is native Mac.

Support remains free

Support for Radar and RadarOpus is free during 12 months after the first installation on maximum 2 computers of the same user.
However, 12 months after the first installation, Radar users must be pay for support (30 €/ US$35 per half hour unit).

After this initial 12 months period, support for RadarOpus remains free, unless the support is not related to RadarOpus itself. Support for RadarOpus has to be paid only if it is not related to RadarOpus itself, e.g. in case of another hard disc, a new computer, etc.

Compatible with recent Operating Systems

The development of Radar has stopped in July 2010 (last version 10.5.003), for EH in December 2009 (version 2.5) and for WinCHIP November 2011 (3.1.04). Each software guaranteed compatibility with Windows OS Windows 7 (released October 2009).
As our development has stopped, compatibility with more recent OS cannot be guaranteed.
When Windows 8 was released in October 2012, it appeared that Radar was still running; the same happened when Windows 10 was released. However, that situation has changed ( see next point).
To date, Radar can only be run on Windows 7. It is unlikely that our old software will remain compatible with upcoming updates of that OS.

Less vulnerability

On May 10, 2016, Microsoft released updates for Windows 8. When the user (automatically and innocently) installed these updates, Radar 10.5 could not be used any more. The same happened in August 2016 when Microsoft released updates for Windows 10.
Uninstalling these Windows Updates will expose the user to vulnerabilities that the Windows Update was trying to resolve.

We cannot resolve this issue as the programming of Radar stopped in 2010. Such Operating system related problems appeared only much later and could not be anticipated by Archibel.
